When formulating the strategy for Pharmacy Health Network's media kit, we thought of elements that would contrast enough to jump of the page and not be your traditional folder kit. What we came up with, we were sure it would do it's job of being unique and compelling, but it also grabbed the attention of the Printing and Imaging Association (PIA) of MidAmerca. It won first place national Graphex (graphic excellence) award for presentation folders/kits.
In order to create a piece that is not like your typical presentation folders, we first choose Gruppo Cordenon's unique "Plike" paper. It gave an ultra bright white glow, but with an actual soft, plastic-like touch to give a very satin feel to the piece. Then, we used spot varnishes on the logos and logo bug to lift off the paper and give a very modern, contemporary appeal. After that, we basically made the architecture of the kit into it's own unique version of closable folder kit that uses a flap to velcro contain a book, CD, business card, and individual collateral sheets. Think of it as a hybrid of a briefcase and a folder.
